Excellent video. I would buy 10 more just like it. For me, having a professional like Pahud talk intelligently about *just* technique, as he does in this video, is much more useful than watching him step conservatory students through perfecting a piece that I'll never play. The flute world needs more videos like this.

As a true beginner, at a late age (65), I found this to be exactly what I was looking for, and needed, to start playing the flute. I had no idea how or where to begin, and this video showed me what I needed to know. I continue to use it as a guide as I progress. These is one of the most valuable videos for all flutists, beginners or pro. These tips are really helpful and accurate in flute playing, most of them completely ignored but they make a HUGE difference in playing, it covers everything (tone, sound, projection, breathing, possition, etc). this is a MUST HAVE!! 5 stars

It is the best Video which helped me to have the big Picture about what it means flute playing. Every time when I feel like -I Need more Motivation- than I just "have" a lesson about the fundemants and it`s Done. Every fluteplayer must experience it !
